KhácGlobal Eye invites artists to submit for “Vietnam Eye” book 01. 04. 16 - 3:15 pmSource: Global Eye Programme11 March 2016 Dear Artist, We are pleased to announce that Parallel Contemporary Art in partnership with renowned Italian publisher SKIRA will produce the book, “Vietnam Eye: Contemporary Vietnam Art” in November 2016. The book, edited by Serenella Ciclitira, is the 8th book of the critically acclaimed ‘Eye’ series (an initiative of the Global Eye Programme) and will feature up to 75 artists presenting an important survey of Vietnam contemporary art. “Vietnam Eye: Contemporary Vietnam Art” will open with 3-4 essays that intends to put the art of Vietnam into perspective. Each artist is given four pages to show their artwork and also includes a short text provided by the artist where possible about their works. As we are now actively researching materials for the book we would like to invite you to submit a portfolio of your artworks for Parallel Contemporary Art’s consideration. Please submit your artist portfolio by following exactly the enclosed ‘Submission Guidelines’ and returning the content to Shao Hui, Project Coordinator, no later than 15th May 2016. It was founded by David and Serenella Ciclitira who have been collectors and patrons of contemporary art for over two decades. Through their love of travel and discovering new artistic talent, they realised young artists in many parts of Asia were under supported and going unnoticed. To help develop the careers of these emerging Asian artists, they launched the Global Eye Programme, an initiative that nurtures worldwide artistic talent.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINE Please submit your artist portfolio by following exactly the enclosed ‘Submission Guidelines’ and returning the content via email no later than 15th May 2016 to: Shao Hui Kwok, Project Co-ordinator (s.kwok@parallelcontemporaryart.com) Required materials for portfolios include: 1) 10-15 high resolution “rights-free” images* in 300 dpi, JPG file format 2) List of work (refer to ‘SAMPLE 1’ below) in word document format 3) Artist statement: 100 words about the artist and his/her works in word document format 4) Biography (refer to ‘SAMPLE 2’ below) in word document format NOTE: Images MUST be of high resolution (300 dpi) and in jpg format otherwise they will not be accepted. The deadline to receive artist portfolios is 15th May 2016.
